First, a picture from Shorty’s Den (Friday night) and one from our ride in the parade (Saturday morning). Thanks to our friends in Bedford (especially Brian and Brian from the band ‘Junk’ and long-time buddy of ours and drummer extraordinaire Kevin Kale) for making it out for a great night of music and dancing. Also thanks to the crew from CarDon and Associates for giving us the platform (and the truck) to to play for so many great folks along the parade route. It was a blast!
Although last weekend at Shorty’s and being in the Greenwood Freedom Festival Parade was busy, fun and exciting, this upcoming Pet Monkey weekend schedule dials it up a bit more with three shows in three days in three counties:
Friday: We’ll be playing 8:00 to midnight at the Fourwinds Resort on Lake Monroe outside of Bloomington. It’s a beautiful place and we had a great show there last year. This is our only event at the Fourwinds this summer. If you are coming, you may want to bring your own folding chair just to assure you get a seat.
Saturday: The Pet Monkey boys will be playing for the Bicentennial Celebration for the Town of Orleans in Orange County. Our part of the show is from 5:00 to 6:30. There are other great acts before and after our music and people in Orleans are super friendly. It promises to be a great and patriotic time
Sunday: Our weekend concludes at the scenic (and tasty) Mallow Run Winery in Bargersville (Johnson County). We are on the stage from 2:00 – 5:00 and are happy to be back after a fun concert there last year. Once again, this is our only show here in 2015. Bargersville is about as far north as Pet Monkey plays and for all our friends in Johnson and Marion counties, we casually invite you to take a shorter drive and hope to see your smiling faces.
Enjoy your weekend, no running with sparklers, God bless the USA!
