What’s going on everybody:
Pet Monkey had a sweeeeeet time in the Greenwood Freedom Festival Parade last Saturday morning. Cardon & Associates, an Indianapolis senior residence provider, had asked us to ride their float and provide some classic music for the crowd. Waking up to rain and sprinkles, we didn’t let the weather keep us from sunny thoughts! As we set our gear up on the float, we kept a tarp or two at the ready and, on at least one occasion, we put it to use.
Once the float started moving, things went fairly smooth. So many kids and families on the parade route and we tried to wave and sing to them all. The Cardonettes (the fine ladies of Cardon who ran / walked along side the float with signs) were dancing up a storm, luckily not literally. The parade only lasted about 45 minutes but it was absolutely one of the funnest things we have done!
We’re hoping the stars align and allow us the opportunity to do it again. ‘Can’t wait’! To see all the pictures from our Facebook page, click here.
Upcoming shows at “37 Junction” and “The Hill” in Scottsburg on July 18th and 19th. So long for now kiddies…and keep your hands out of the cookie jar. Except on the 18th and 19th.
